Take a break from the classroom and spend your week outside! Each day we will explore the park in a different way. Monday we look at animals, Tuesday we experiment with science, Wednesday we fish and learn about water, Thursday we create art, and Friday we learn survival skills and have a campfire! Join us all week or for just a day or two, and enjoy fun games, exciting hikes, interesting crafts, and neat lessons with our park naturalists!

$150 per week or $40 per day

Spring Awakening and Coming Out of Hibernation! Everything is awakening and we will be able to experience spring at Bellevue. Each day will be filled with new discoveries, hiking and crafts. Campers must pack a bag lunch and snack each day. Aftercare is available until 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee of $30. No Before Care. Register by April 9.

Animal Handling 101: a Training Course just for Teens! at Brandywine Zoo

During this week, campers will undertake a full week of animal handling training! Campers will receive the same training in animal handling, policies and protocols, and program delivery that our staff and volunteers get when they train to present Ambassador Animals for education programs. Additionally, campers will beef up their animal facts and hone their public presentation skills in preparation for delivering their own public program with an Ambassador Animal on the last day of camp. Please note that campers MUST provide proof of a negative TB skin test within the last year (365 days) from camp start date (June 22) upon registration to handle vertebrate animals.

Cardboard Boat Challenge at Trap Pond State Park

Join us for Trap Pond’s first Cardboard Boat Challenge. Learn about the science behind cardboard boats. Build and test model size cardboard boats. Camp will conclude with the construction of the Day Camp Boat that the camp counselors will use to race in the Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Blades Marina this August.
